Autumn Afternoon of Yoga: Fold into Fall

Sunday 21st November 2021: 1pm – 4pm

£20 – FULLY BOOKED

Email yogabradford@gmail.com to be added onto the waiting list =)

Autumn is a season of change and transformation, letting go and taking stock. Unlike summer where a lot of our energy and focus are directed outward, autumn is the season to turn inwards, to wonder and reflect. Just as the trees lose their leaves in autumn so we must let go of anything we no longer need, whether that’s clutter in the house, an attachment to summer, negative thought patterns or old beliefs that are no longer serving us. By letting go we create the space to welcome in the new.  This will be the theme of this afternoon of yoga where we will slow down, nurture and rest so we can embrace the season of change and nourish our body and mind.

Opening with a calming mindfulness meditation accompanied with Pranayama (breath work) to settle you and develop a sense of physical, emotional & spiritual well being.  Followed by a gentle slow flow to build a little heat and release tension.  We will then take a break with some warming vegan refreshments.  Then slowing down even more with supportive and nourishing restorative yoga to relax & unwind. Finishing with a lovely long relaxation guiding you into a deep rest.

Open to all (including beginners).  Limited places available so booking is essential.  Props for the restorative session, including bolsters and blankets, will be available to borrow at the session (but bring your own if you have them).  The bolsters are brand new and a limited number will be available to buy (£20) if you want to take it away for lovely relaxation at home.

To fully unwind and unplug, this session will be in-studio only.

Or book and pay next time you’re in class.  Any questions?  Email yogabradford@gmail.com

Taking time out to relax and renew is essential to living well.  Restorative yoga is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. In this style of yoga, you will hardly move at all, doing just a few postures in the course of an hour.  The postures are designed to restore health and vitality and can be so restful you will feel like you have had a sleep.  Read more about restorative yoga.

Suitable for all levels of experience (including complete beginners!).  Limited places available so booking essential!
